Details: In addition, as part of Rishi Sunak’s government reshuffle, former Foreign Secretary James Cleverley was appointed Home Secretary instead of Suella Braverman.
Braverman was fired from her post as Home Secretary after her high-profile article in which she accused the London police of being biased in favor of pro-Palestinian protests.
Cameron was given a life peerage so he could take up a Cabinet post.
In Britain, holders of a life peerage are granted the title of baron and the right to a seat in the House of Lords if they are of the appropriate age and nationality.
Sunak’s office said on November 13 that King Charles III had approved giving Cameron a seat in the House of Lords, allowing him to return to government despite not being an elected member of Parliament.
Cameron has been absent from the political scene for more than seven years since leaving his post as prime minister in July 2016 following the Brexit referendum.
