Israel’s Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said on Monday that the army will resume its military operation across the Gaza Strip with greater force after the end of the humanitarian pause in Gaza.
“Now you have a few days. We will return to fighting. We will use the same amount of force and more,” Gallant said during a meeting with Israeli forces, according to the Times of Israel news site.
“We will fight all over Gaza,” he added.
” Flash back that while you’re organizing, resting and probing, the adversary is doing the same,” he said, pertaining to the Palestinian group Hamas.
On Monday evening, Qatar announced an agreement to extend a four-day humanitarian pause between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip for two more days, under which further prisoner exchanges would take place.
Israel launched a large-scale military campaign in the Gaza Strip after a cross-border attack by Hamas on October 7.
At least 14,854 Palestinians have been killed since then, including 6,150 children and more than 4,000 women, according to health authorities in the enclave.
The official death toll in Israel is 1,200.
