North Korea may launch its military reconnaissance satellite into space on November 22, RIA Novosti reports, citing a source among the South Korean military. According to his information, before dawn in the area of the Dongchangni test site, the weather is expected to be suitable for such a launch. At the same time, he added that, if necessary, the North Koreans are ready to do this in any conditions.
Presumably, the launch could be from tomorrow night (November 22 – NEWS.ru), we are also preparing. The weather until dawn tomorrow seems to be suitable. Afterwards there will be snow and rain in the Dongchangni area. But, since this is North Korea, if necessary, they will launch it anyway,” the source said.
On November 20, North Korea warned Japan of its intention to launch a rocket with a satellite in the near future between November 22 and December 1. The notice refers, in particular, to the danger for three sea zones where spent parts of the launch vehicle could fall. We are talking about parts of the East China Sea, the Yellow Sea and the waters east of the Philippine island of Luzon.
Later, Japan, the United States and South Korea demanded that North Korea abandon the launch of a military spy satellite, because they believe that any launch of ballistic missiles by Pyongyang is a violation of UN Security Council resolutions. At the same time, the parties confirmed close cooperation in a bilateral and trilateral format to ensure the security of the region.
